#grid mesh

What is a good way to create a grided mesh, like a box with a lot of vertices
in between the edges. It would be most convenient if I could create this
object in the 2D Shaper because I need curved edges, the object will be flat,
but not completely flat. Thanks for any suggestions.

You could use a pxp that comes with 3ds. I believe it is called "grid". It
allows you to create a flat plane or a box with settings for how many grids it
is broken up to. It has come in handy for me on many occasions.
the only other way I can think of is to create a box or flat plane and bring it
into optimize and tesselate it.

In addition to Tim's suggestion. For the curved edges use the 2D Shaper and
the 3D Lofter to create the object. Make sure all of the shape and path
vertices are evenly spaced. In the 3D Lofter create the object with the Tween
option on and Optimization set to off.

Thanks Mark. I've already used the original card to Boolean difference the
grid mesh, worked out pretty nicely.

The GRID.PXP would have been a really conveinent solution if you didn't need
curved edges. If you mean a chamfered edge when you say curved, then the best
thing to do is to use the Lofter. Make sure you turn optimization off.
