PMFJI, but I've been trying to find ANYTHING that will lead me to someway to subscribe to AC ever since I got my notice from AW. Is there anywhere in the Amiga forums that can point me to them? === CYBERSPACED at '030/50 Voyager 3 … on AutoPilot 1.80

Andre: I received my copy of Amazing Computing for the Amiga today. I would say that the advertising picked up a bit. And I think that's probably a good sign as far as AC sticking around. Without sounding likea commcercial, here is their number 1-800-345-3360. I have always bought AC on the newsstand, while suscribing to AW. Don't really know why other than I get so many other magazines in the mail, my mailman said 'no more!' In any case, give them a call if you want. thanks, dave fisher

Andre: The KidsNews Network is a half hour TV shouw that I produce. It's a show for kids, done by kids, to quote the press releases. It's on in Columbus, Ohio on 10TV. (And it has plenty of Toaster Lightwave animations…. :>) dave fisher

Dave, did the scanner arrive yet? Mr. Zombie

paul: Yes, it did. I have been so busy with family in town for Easter, I hadn't logged on for a few days! Anyway, I got it, but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I'm sure evrything is going to be fine with it. DId you ever do any Optical Character Recognition stuff with it? I'm hoping to find a cheap program that will allow me to scan in documents and use them in a word processer. Is that possible with this? thanks, dave fisehr

Paul: I took a quick look tonight, and I was wondering if there was a manual or anything for the scanner. How do I hook it up? There is a manual for Scan and Save and for Merge it, but I didn;t see anything about the AC power and conector set up. it';s probabaly so obvious that there is no maual, but I am always leery of hooking anything up that has it;s own power supply to my 'hard to replace these days' amiga. thanks, dave fisher

Never bought OCR software, but I'm sure it will work as well as any other scanner. I never actually used it much–the guy who sold it to me represented it as an 8 bit grey scale scanner, which it isn't. Mr. Zombie
