The Amiga doesn't have a UART but uses what I think is referred to as
Processor-Controlled I/O. You could put a fast UART into the Amiga only by
purchasing a 3rd-party serial card with the UART on it.

The UART is inside of Paula.
I run the Emplant serial port at 57600 on a G-Force Equiped 2000.
