Would someone please enlighten me: How is the STONED Virus transferred? Can it be part of a picture file, for example, or must the carrier be an executeable file? Ken Loss-Cutler

My copy of STONED infected my machine because it was in the boot sector of the floppy disk that I got from "someone." My PRIMARY mistake was leaving it in Drive A: when I booted up my computer. It loaded itself from the boot sector that way. I've heard from many people since that leaving a floppy in your boot disk drive is the most common way people get infected with this sh*t. – G
