"NewTek might be a little paranoid about announcing shipping dates"
Hey, so far they haven't failed to ship a single product within the same
century they announced it! <G>

This product is actually quite close to done.

Like the Flyer? <g>

Being a bit closer to the inside of NewTek than I am to the outside (and also
being able therefore to see what they HAVEN'T said or shown) I stand by my
interpretation. I think the new toaster-in-a-shoebox is a winner and will be
on the streets very quickly. A. NewTek needs to do it B. The new gizmo uses
the EXISTING Flyer board. Yes, there's a bit to do on the Flyer (a key NewTek
programmer resigned just as the 4.0 software was being wrapped up) but the
'Traz crew knows what to do and how to do it. Sorry if you've been
disappointed with the Flyer – we all wish it's little quirks would vanish
tomorrow but I don't think you'll be waiting long for that. Extensive
conversations at NAB with 'Traz programmers and Tim Jennison, combined with my
own knowledge of it's low-level operation led me to my conclusion. I hope I'm
not wrong (I'll eat my words right here in this forum if so), but my reasoning
has a basis in reality.
Just like the Flyer, right? <G>

Tim had indicated that it may be as soon as July!?

That would be nice if it were. It gets kind of nerve-wracking wondering when
and if an Amiga is going to give up the ghost and all that.
