#Gamma Correction/AG7750

I am currently using R3 and I'm having problems with the gamma correction
settings. When I set it at 2.2 my output seem perfect for composite out of my
Targa 64+, however my monitor is a 2 channel Sony with composite input as well
as S-Video. I currently run my Targa composite ouput straight to my monitor
while using my S-Video output as my line-in for my panasonic AG-7750. It
appears that my VTR is doing gamma correction as the gamma test images on
Line-A(composite) and Line-B(S-Video out of VTR) are completely different. I
double checked by bypassing my VTR and both Line-A and Line-B are identical
when testing.
Does anyone have any experience with this problem, I have contacted my
Panasonic dealer and he doesn't know how to prevent the VTR from Gamma
Correcting.

Thanks for the reply, I downloaded that information some time ago and have read
all 43 printed pages. I did shine a light on the topic however nothing to deal
with my situation and my VTR.

Ronald,
By any chance, do you have the TBC turned on, the settings that go
with the TBC can change the colors. Try putting the TBC in bypass
position and check your output again. You might have to adjust the
settings such that the colors are the same going into and out of the
TBC if you are going to have the TBC on.
I suspect that you are already aware of the TBC, but just thought I
would mention it just in case.
