i'm a mm dealer who has a customer using a unix engineering prog abaqus. it
writes a .flc file to produce an animation. i can only partially read it in
animator pro or aniconvert. my system locks up when loading. i can play it in
the player if i open it instead of load it. c ple.

It sounds like the files they are creating might not be created properly. I
have seen other packages that write FLC files that will playback in a player
but not be able to be read into the softwre for editing. See if you can get
your animations as a series of TGA or GIF files. That way you can use NUMPIC to
create your animation. Of, see of DTA.ZIP from the library will break the FIic
apart and put it back together for you.
