#uudecode

I just received a file from internet which requires a file called uudecode.
I have no idea what this is or how to run it.
Please send HELP!

I found what I needed in the form of a Windows App. If anyone else might
like a copy of this I could post it on the forum.
UUencode/UUdecode

It's a way of changing binary data to ASCII data for transmission over
networks. uudecode changes an ASCII back into binary. Check the PC File
finder, it should be there somewhere. If not, look in the archiver directory
of a large FTP site.

Lee,
Both UUencode and UUdecode are available on the Autodesk AutoCAD forum in
Library 10 [Utilities].
Evidently the version in the ACAD forum is older. This was the first file
I tried and it wouldn't work with my files. I have a newer version from
the EURFORUM that runs very nicely under windows and worked on my files.
Would you like it to be uploaded here?

Lee,
Which one did you try ??? Davis Augustine posted both UUNT.ZIP (for NT) and
UUCODE.ZIP (for DOS), and both files are recent (like the 19th of January).
There is also a shareware encoder/decoder, graphics coder/decoder and
archiver/dearc called ZRFW.ZIP (short of ZR FileWorks) that is as recent as
21st of February.
