Jonas How rude, to move the City w/o any forwarding address!!!!! The message in this thread has added an aspect to the city I haven't read about so far. Humanity!!! Until this thread came along the city was full of guys planning & whipping up mega structures with Roark-like personalities then BAM along comes this thread suggesting that it's possible that there could be some kind of life associated with this process!!! Though the shanty I occupy has only 2 rooms (outhouses really turn me off), I have reserved a very well proportioned area for a cozy nook by the firerplace (central heat being beyond my means)! I've been trying to come up w/ the appropriate appointments……..Easychair…..Quilt!!!!!!…..what else, what else!!!! OH, Please tell us more!!!! May I please be asked in to sit by the fire and hear more if it's no bother? Yes, hot chocolate is fine even though the "vapor" is stand in. I hope this thread contiues…………!

PMJI – Well, I'm so glad to hear that boys are interested in more than erector sets! Sure, you're welcome to participate … what would you like to model for the cozy room project ("womb room"?) A pot-bellied stove … a cat? What appeals? We need book-lined shelves, and open books all over the floor, too. A round hooked rug to go with the quilt …. I'm getting carried away, here. This room should be a texture-mapper's paradise. BTW – Roark was a great heroic character, and a walking moral challenge, but probably not someone to snuggle up by the fire with.

Gayle – My mental image of Roark is great for a long, convoluted discussion …. but not in front of a cozy fireplace! As you probably know, I'm a raw newbie to the world of 3DS. It's installed and I can read the library files uploaded to be sure they view okay but that is about it right now. So – tell me exactly how to upload a quilt pattern in black/white line drawing – in what form .dwg, .dxf or what? Should I email it to you or put it in the library (#12 cause it sure doesn't belong where the big girls/boys play). <G> Anne

Anne – You don't get off that easily! I want the whole, colored thing! Is this a mesh file (.dfx) or a rendered image? I prefer .tga files, but I can convert from jpeg, pcx, tiff and most stuff, if you want to email it to me. Better yet, if you don't yet have a good paint program to color your designs, could you send a scanned image of one of your finished quilts (needs to be flat). Or, if none of those options is good, send the B&W design to me to color … understanding that I never quilted before in my life! (This will be slow!). I don't know if you can upload something like this in the regular asoft forum, now (an image or a mesh). Can't give you too much help, since I haven't yet ul'd an image myself. Anyway, aren't you in charge of what gets uploaded where? <<Roark>> I imagine we could have a convoluted blast debating the merits/appeal of various of Rand's male characters … I have a soft spot for Francisco … married the most similar Latin male I could find, as it happens.<g>
