I've recently discovered the Amiga Arts Forum on CIS from the latest issue of CompuServe Magazine (featuring Multimedia). Now that I'm interested in broadening my multi-platform horizons, how easy/hard is it to bring Amiga Animations into my DOS world using Animator PRO? I realize that I will have to use the ANICONV utility . . . but what I am refering to is the ability of DOS to read floppy disks (of animations) originally created on the Amiga. And what specific Amiga Animation Programs are good for viewing in AAPRO? Anyone have any further insights into the Amiga world – looking at it from the DOS point-of-view? Thanks. –Lisa

as far as i know you really can't go from amiga to dos and retain all info. but i could be wrong. you might try the graphsup form , they do have a lot of utilities that do convert from different formats. but as far as amiga is concerned its not really a power platform in animation anyway. so i would avoid it …. (risking a lightning strike here) …. i would concentrate on the dos apps. amiga is for the children to learn on and play games…. mac is for the the teens that getting ready for the REAL world of animation in the dos platforms and the silicon work stations and 3dstudio is for those that want to do that… at a resonable price. then there is digital arts and a bump higher is Alias and Wavefront and Symbolics all this for a price……. if you want to do animations that will make your boss stand on end , then 3dstudio will do it …. if you what to make him orbit the planet then Alias …… …. sherwood ….. (its late and i am now shutting up)
