$399 for a CD32? They must be kiddin'! We get it for 1/3 of that price, and
CD32 ain't worth anymore now that those new games consoles are out and doing
well…

I _hope_ they're kidding about keeping the system prices from 1992. $2100 is
far too much for an A4000/040 today unless it comes with 16MB RAM, SCSI
controller, quad-speed CD, 540MB hard drive, and a 15" monitor. On the games
front, the PlayStation has been selling in Japan for $375 since last November
or December, and there are rumors of a $299 price point for the U.S. release
this September…CD32 for $199, maybe?
Or maybe they should just drop it altogether? As much as I love the Amiga, I
have to admit that the CD32 doesn't hold a candle to the power of a PSX or
Saturn, so to speak.

CD32 could make it the way GameBoy did: _very_ cheap! There's a massive
advertising campaign here in France for coloured GameBoys, and they even
managed to raise its price! You may see some blue/orange/pink CD32s in the
forthcoming months 😉

Somehow I doubt we'll ever see $49.95 CD32's…. 😉

They're doing that here too. They really should have put the new colors on the
_screen_, though. 😉
