The people didn't think it was valuable enough to buy it in sufficient
numbers to keep it alive, why would any buyer of the assets feel
differently.
People are sheep. The tend to get in one line and stand there, even when
it's slower. People are in line for Windoze, and there doesn't seem to be
any way to get them to change direction.
Power PC's were highly touted, and highly regarded. Apple's market share
has still shrunk. They have experienced increased sales, but their sales
have not expanded at the rate of the overall market.
