I had a long boolean subtract that I let run all night and the power to the computer was turned off the next morning before we had a chance to save the drawing to disk. Any chance it was recorded in a file I can access? Is there any backup file that 3ds makes as I am working? Thanks, Carlton

If you have the backup option set to yes in your 3ds.set, 3ds will make a backup file when you save called 3ds.bak, or prj.bak. Ususally this will be in the same directory that your original file is in. As far as getting your file back, I am sorry, but you are hosed on that one. Unless someone saved it before shutting off the computer, there is no way to get it back.

Thanks Tim for the 3ds.set .bak info. I'll have to reset that option. Carlton
