#TxED

Charlie… well don't blush! You did what no one else seems capable of, or
willing to do.. and that is make the best directory requester around. I was
referring to both the demo and the for sale version… I've seen them both.
Actually, you'll hate me for this but for MY own personal editing needs (I
work on a lot of lists… mailing lists, membership lists, etc. downloaded
from another service or from work) good ol' ED really serves my purpose
better, due to its capability to build RP (repeated) command strings so the
editor can automatically go thru the entire file, stripping away unneeded
lines, parts of lines, concantenating lines, etc to compact down the lists to
usable sizes before I use the DOS sort command. I didn't see any kind of
"repeat" function with TxED except to do it manually. This function, for ME
anyway, makes ED a very useful and important utility. I've seen Microforge's
Editor, which looks like overkill… I can't see anyone living long enough to
learn all the commands in that one… but the beauty and elegance of your dir
requester just goes to show that SOMEONE (perhaps) understands intuition as
well as =RJ= does/did (maybe), cause that routine you wrote is simply the
best. Regards (btw, by repeat function I'm not talking about search/replace,
I'm talking about being able to remove entire lines to shrink the file, or
remove part of a line, but the same part in, say, every 6th line… can TxED
do that? If it can, I'll probably buy it!)
