Larry, you're a real die-hard. I started (in 1964) with a machine which
only had an assembler….was years before I had a block structured compiler
(1975…CalTech Pascal). Yes, I still code some things in Assembler (generally
stuff having to do with interrupts & critical sections), but other than that,
If I never have to use it again it will be 27 minutes too soon. (obviously that
is a personal opinion….I'm just tired of all the slowing down in assembler
(MY slowing down…..takes MUCH longer to write) compared to the HLLs).
