I just saw a kind of sad news in the AutoDESK forum… AutoCAD release 10 has been made for the MAC II…!?!?!? well in a way it is nice since thw MAC II it is a nice machine…BUT why in heavens they did not port it to the Amiga!!! beats the hell out of me. maybe if the persons interested in having AutoCAD in the Amiga just like having WordPerfect in the Amiga might drop them a line or a question to tell them why in heavens they did not do it for the Amiga.. Ed, Re: CAD on the Amiga, CBM is sending out to all dealers a video tape of last months(?) NCGA show. Part of the 23 minute tape is the makers of X-CAD (Can't remember the company right now) talking about how their package draws 3000 lines in a second versus Autocad's 150 line-per-second. Now I don't know if that's Autocad on a 4.77MHz clone, but if those figures are based on something like Autocad on a '286 or '386… boy do we have something to brag about. 🙂 -John (BTW, the tape is worth watching if you get a chance) (BTB, You know that HOSE nozzle that is used to show off CAD packages a lot? In the tape, X-CAD draws it in about 1 second!)

john, will ask the dealer for it, about AutoCAD I have not seen a MATCH for it within is price range ( just like the Amiga 🙂 ) . The speed in AutoCAD can be 'turbo charge' by means of display list cards ( very expensive about 2600+- dollars plus monitor ) anyway…thanks…
