Is it possible to find someone with a MAC that is willing to accomadate you?
Haven't been able to yet, but am actively looking. I take it you now of no
program to make the transfer on the amiga. Sort of like the PCcopy and
PCFormat utilities. >>Steve.
I know of no such utility Steve. The majro problem is the MAC's variable
speed drives.
I know of one person who has written a program that will allow the Amiga to
read part of a Mac disk. The Mac disk drives are variable speed, and
actually run at 5 different speeds depending what track the head is on. His
software will read 2 of the 5 speeds. Since he couldn't get it to work on
the faster speeds I don't know what he's going to do with the program (forget
it as a lost cause, release it PD, keep working on it, etc.)
That appears to be impractical, as the Mac changes the speed of the
disk drive to keep the bit density constant……so far only Macs write Mac
floppies.
