Has anyone used the PC/Elevator from Applied Reasoning, 86 Sherman Street,
Cambridge, Mass. 02140 or the Microsoft Inboard 386/PC with either of the Amiga
2000 bridgeboards to upgrade it to a machine with a 80386 microprocessor and
appropriate math coprocessor chips? Can a 386 multitasking system such as
PC/MOS86 by Softlink (spelling?) out of Atlanta, Georgia be run on such a
configuration?

Yes, not I, but others have reported that the PC/Elevator works and CBM
also states the same thing. No, the Inboard 386/PC doesn't work, or no] one
here who tried it could get it to work.
No idea on the OS, but I suspect it would work.

It seems reasonable that the OS would work. The one from Atlanta sells
for about $500 here in a Huntsville store. Of course, it might be cheaper
elsewhere.

P.S. Why is it that the Inboard won't work? But that the PC/Elevator will?
Is it because the Inboard uses a cable with adapter to replace the 8088 or
80286? Does the PC/Elevator also work with the new AT bridgeboard?

Yes…it seems that any accelerator that replaces the 8088 will not
work in the BridgeBoard because of timing differences. I've been told, but
don't know for a fact that the only thing it really breaks is the 5.25" drive
control…the floppy won't work at the higher speeds, so you can't boot from
it. One person has told me that if you've got a HD, you can boot from
that…of course that's not much good if you can't read/write floppies.
No idea on the AT board.

name/address/phone of the store, if so? I heard it cost about $1700!!
