Syndesis Ships Companion Ethernet and X Window Products with TSSnet
MAY 1, 1990 – Syndesis Corporation is now shipping three companion products
for TSSnet, its implementation of DECnet for the Commodore Amiga personal
computer. Through special agreements with Commodore, ASDG and GfxBase,
customers can purchase networking hardware and software from one source.
Ethernet is the fastest networking choice available for the Amiga 2000 and
3000, linking them to mainframes and workstations. Syndesis can deliver
Commodore Business Machine's 2065 Ethernet board and ASDG's LAN Rover
Ethernet board with purchases of TSSnet. TSSnet is also compatible with
the Ethernet board from Hydra Systems of Warwicks, England.
TSSnet can communicate over a serial line via a direct link to another
computer, or through a modem. It is compatible with Commodore's A2232
multi-port serial board, ASDG's Dual Serial board, and of course the
standard Amiga serial port.
