A3000 Video

They don't mind getting down on their knees and crawling under the desks?
It still doesn't sound like a training function to me. Yes, there are
decent training departments in companies where people would know enough to
train people in on a new system. But that's a big difference from hauling
around over 40 lbs. worth of equipment, etc.
Besides, if this "company trainer" in the video was worth her salt, this
poor slob would ALREADY be trained in the basics of using an Amiga, AND the
software they were going to run on it.
And yes, I do care what you say, but the video had her wearing a skirt. You
don't crawl underneath desks in a skirt and hope to appear ladylike. I
have a personal grievance with the video and the morons who made it, not
with you.

Oh….I see the angle this conversation came in at… You were refering
to the CBM video, and I was talking about training types that I know.
I agree completely….I didn't like the CBM video *at all*….well, except
for the 3000. <grin!> The video was completely unrealistic.

Ah, good.
It seems the same people who made the MTV commercials <shudder> made this
video.
Are the dealers out there listening? PLEASE don't show the A3000 video.
Is CBM listening? PLEASE don't send any more copies out! Come up with a
replacement soon. I'm serious about this, this video can only do damage to
the "new image" CBM is trying to get out.

We watched the A3000 video at our users group meeting last week. I wish a
Commodore representative had been there to hear the jeers and raspberries
it got. The A3000 is excellent and just might be able to break into the
real world, if only we can destroy all copies of that pathetic video!

Apparently C/A showed up at the "Strictly Business" expo here in MPLS. I
was just talking to a guy from the ACM club (who doesn't have an Amiga, but
has talked to a few of us about it.) He asked if the AMiga would run Unix.
Answer – "No, but it's LIKE Unix." Will the 3000 run a 68040? Answer –
"68040?" He said they were astoundingly close mouthed (or the rep he
talked to was astoundingly stupid.)
Jeff,
I attended the "Strictly Business" show and talked briefly to the
CBM rep. He seemed quite well informed. I heard him say that "Unix is
coming" for the Amiga. He didn't want to talk much about unannounced
products, though. -Darron
Stupidity, it sound like. The machine DOES run Unix, not something
like it. They have AT&T's full permission to call it Unix. And it will run
a 68040, whenever it is released in mass quantities. You can be sure that
Commodore is working on it, and GVP is probably in the wings.

Alan,
Spread the word! The United Amiga Front against stupidity in video!
