Wayde, Would you mind posting your mountlist entry for the Syquest SQ555? Another forum member posted his for me but somehow View! failed to KEEP it for me or I lost it somehow. thanks, chris AT&G

Chris, Please remember that I have my Syquest SQ555 drive connected to my GVP HC-40Q hardcard and am using the GVP SCSI device driver supplied with the card. Note that this device driver DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY RECOGNIZE A DISK CHANGE. With that in mind, my mountlist entry for the drive looks like: RCD0: Device = scsidev.device Unit = 2 Flags = 0 Reserved = 2 Buffers = 20 BufMemType = 1 Surfaces = 2 BlocksPerTrack = 32 LowCyl = 1 ; HighCyl = 1350 GlobVec = -1 StackSize = 4000 DosType = 0x444F5301 FileSystem = L:fastfilesystem MaxTransfer = 8192 # I also have two statements in my Startup-Sequence that say: mount RCD0: diskchange RCD0: Wayde

Wayde, Thanks for the information on the SQ555. I'm using that same mountlist except for the low cylinder. Ts cartridge doesn't have a great deal on it yet so reformatting it won't be problem. I did just receive my IMPACT 8meg SCSI card 0pop. It has the advanced eproms that check for a diskchange automatically. GVP uses a different mountlist. lowcyl is 1 but hi cyl is 638 and blocks per track are 68. Guess I'm gonna use that since it' s gonna autoconfig it. I'm not using WHAP! tonight 'cause the '030 and it don't like each other and it has trouble uploading messages so this note may look a bit primitive. thanks for the help, Chris
