I didn't catch the posting that described your problem, but I thought I'd
mention that the 'EP' jumper stands (I think) for Enable Parity.

Thanks for the info RE: Enable Parity jumper. However, I don't really have
a problem (I think <g>). As far as I can tell my hard drive and my Syquest
removeable cartridge drive are co-existing without any problems. Actually,
I'm waiting for my Quantum 40MB drive to completely fail: I have had
problems with it in the past and have considered replacing it with a larger
capacity drive. Although I wouldn't mind running completely from the
Syquest drive…
