Ethan, I sent INFO magazine $90.00 for subscription and back issues on
March 3. Got cancelled check saying INFO had cashed the check March 20,
1990 and Never heard from them again. Never received any back issues or
subscription confirmation. I know the editor Mark Brown from World Of
Commodore and wrote him a letter with the subscription. Can you be more
specific as to who posted the INFO magazine comeback. AmigoTimes was at the
NY World OF Commodore in April with issue 10 AND TAKING NEW SUBSCRIPTIONS
after rumors of having gone belly-up! I didn't buy issue 10 of AmigoTimes
at NY World Of Commodore since AmigoTimes told me Issue 10 was in the mail
as per my older subscription. Never received it. I feel sorry for anyone
who ordered from AmigoTimes. Subsciptions I've lost money with are Ahoy
AmigaUser (defunct)–AMigoTimes-Amiga Transactor-Amiga User
International-Sentry and now INFO. On the other hand, Amazing Computing and
Amiga World and the ABC backed Amiga Resource have not dissapointed. I had
a chance to suscribe to Ami Exchange Disk Magazine but why take the CHANCE
to lose more money with garage-based publications via subscriptions. Pat
(Grumble)] I'm waiting for the new INFO in my mail, and sent money for a
disk subscription to AmigoTimes and the Transactor back in February. I'm
very angry, :/, as I'm – p o s i t i v e – I'll never see the money for the
Transactor, and believe that its 50/50 on AmigoTimes and maybe a little
better than that for INFO.
Ben et. al. at INFO have griped alot about CBM's professionalism, but I
have to wonder about theirs when it takes 6 (?) months of ZERO issues to go
monthly. And INFO better be good after 6 months of waiting!
As far as I'm concerned, the mags are back in biz when I get mine in the
mail, not when they show up for a little subscription money at a show.
Rumours is Rumours until I tear off the plastic wrap.
Greetings from the Great White North!
