Hello everyone! This is my second try at posting my first message, I hope it comes out right this time. I have a problem with my AT bridgeboard. I am trying to run an EVEREX PostCard printer driver card, but the driver code won't download to the card. Specifically the download program gets stuck in a loop that is accessing I/O addresses 43h and 42h. These are not PostCard addresses and removing the card from the IBM slot does not affect the result. I have checked the port addresses and interrupt of the PostCard and they do not conflict with the BB addresses and Janus interrupt as given in the BB manual. I have used debug with and without the PostCard to access I/O addresses 43h and 42h and rhe results don't depend on having the PostCard in place. The download program OUTputs 80h to address 43h then INputs two bytes from address 42h. The results are always ffh and ffh, which download dosen't like, so it loops back until doomsday. I would feel more confident in complaning to EVEREX if I had some idea what was going on with these address, and how it should be done on a BB. Unfortunatly my brother picked up the PostCard from a dealer who was clearing out the stock from buying out another dealer so we cannot return this 'bargan'. Oh well caveat emptor as they say. Thanks in advance for any information anybody can come up with.
