#AD-FFV – Wierd Things

Hi, I just got Flicker Free Video and a Commodore 1960 monitor. I am
noticing some very wierd things going on. Around some things on the
screen, there appears to be some additional pixels that are shimmering and
not supposed to be there. I was thinking maybe it was a deprivation of
power since I haven't gotten my Big Foot yet, but I disconnected my 2nd
drive and my hard drive and the problem continued. It did seem to change
its pattern when there was drive access. Any ideas? I don't want to have
to call long distance and wait until Monday to call Tech.
Correction! The problem has now gotten to the point where I can't
see anything. All of a sudden, the picture divided into two or three
parts… I can't tell. I just went all wopperjawed. Really wierd.
Think maybe I got a bad FFV board? After I disconnected everything,
the problem still continued. Everything else seemed to work okay
except the video. I took the system in to be checked. One thing I
didn't try was to plug the monitor into the standard RGB output.
Anyone have this problem before?
It does sound like it could be a failure of some kind with the FFV
unit. Connecting a monitor to the standard RGB port would be a good
way to tell if it is a seating problem. Calling tech support Monday
and checking with Chris would be a good idea.
I looked in the manual for FFV and I didn't see a tech support number.
Can you give that to me? Thanks! The report from the local dealer
is that it looks like the FFV is bad. Thank God it's not something
wrong with my computer. I can't afford any repairs after buying all
this stuff. The standard RGB port works fine.
