#2091 Roms and GP FAX
5 messages in this thread
I need a bit of help as usual ;-)…I have just been and spent my
whle life savings on a `040' board (the PP&S) and a SupraFAX v32bis
at the London Amiga Show today.
Unfortunately I have been unable to get the FAX software that goes
with it…..the manaul says that I should be looking for GP FAX for
it…..can anyone point me in that direction? I have no idea who
sells it or where GP software are based.
My other problem involves the 040 and my HD (2091)….PP&S tell me
that the 2091 works fine with thier board but only if it has 6.6 roms
or if I can get them 6.9! and I have 6.1!. Getting hold of these
seems to be an impossible task so I would be very grateful if someone
could tell where to get hold of these….failing that are the
contents of the roms freely distributable? if they are perhaps I
could download it from somewhere and have my eproms blown.
I got 6.6 ROMs for my A2091 from The Grapevine Group, 3 Chestnut Street
Suffern, New York 10901. (914) 357-2424 or 1-800-292-7445
Paul,
Your Amiga dealer should be able to order the new 2091 ROMs.
Don
One of the local dealers has quite a few orders in for that
particular modem and mentioned in a local club meeting this morning that
the software for it comes from Australia. It wasn't available in the US
yet and from what you say, it's not available in Europe either. Guess
we'll both have to wait.
Max,
Yes the AFAX program is from Australia, of which there is a demo
here on CIS which I have tried and it works fine (very limited trial) but
its a pain to use and not really what I am looking for. I want some thing
that will be able to take a file straight from a DTP or WP and send it to
the FAX modem, i.e a preferences FAX driver.
In a british magazine recently they had a review of one of the German
Amiga shows with a photograph of a Amiga 600 with Supra V32bis running GP
Fax on screen. Could it be that GP Fax comes from Australia too?.
Seems like a lot of good software coming from Oz lately.
