Having trouble with a IBM model PS1 and an NEC Model 36 CD ROM. There
appears to be ers to be a problem with the autoexec.bat file or the
config.sys file The CD ROM defaults to the D: ROM drive and produces an
error (error writing drive D:). Are there any suggestions on how to_wo how
to work around this problem ?
Jim,
I am not familiar with your hardware set-up, but you should not be WRITING
to Drive D: at all. The ROM stands for READ ONLY MEMORY. I would think
the first place you should look is for something trying to write to D:.
Hope that helps. If you don't get any further help here, try the IBM
Hardware (GO IBMHW) Forum.
