If you know the depth of the image and its size (or can guess them) you can
open them with Photoshop using the 'Raw' format. Unfortunately, you have to
be pretty accurate to get anything resembling the original image.

Unfortunately, these images are compressed, not just raw data.
the format The fomrarmat is apparently quite popular inside of NASA, but
their comnversion tools are quite lame.
