From your comments here and what I have seen in the flames over in
the vender forum, it sounds like your memory is just about gone, or
badly fragemented. Two meg is not a lot, and I don't recall you
saying how much of that is chip memory. If you have a fair number of
background tasks (virus checkers, clock, etc.) plus do a lot of
processing during startup, you could be fragmenting memory (especally
chip memory). I have not had any problem opening a second document
with only 512 k of chip. A third has problems if I other jobs
running at the time.
