Superbase Professional 4 Developer's Extension, featuring the SBase Pro4
RUNTIME Module
The Superbase Professional 4 Runtime Module provides the basic functions of
the Superbase Pro4 program, which your application supplies the interface.
Inclusion of the Runtime Module with your database application, forms and
DML programs allows your customers to use the your Superbase application on
an Amiga system without requiring them to purchase or own Superbase
Professional 4.
The Superbase Developer's Extension provides the Runtime Module, plus an
unlimited license for duplication of the Runtime Module, for a list price
of $395. To purchase the Developer's Extension, the developer must be a
registered user of Superbase Professional 4.

SB4 RUNTIME, IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!!! This is great news, I've been waiting a
long time to hear something on the progress. I've had SuperBasePro since
day one. When THE OTHER GUYS at THE OTHER CO. where developing the RT all
I got from them when asked was that it wasn't available but they were
working on it. I think they must of had IBMidise. Although I can't afford
it yet it's nice to know someone took the time to make it happen. I am
looking foward to a long and fruitful relationship with Oxxi and SBPRO.
Awhile back there was a message posted about a SBPRO user group and I can't
seem to remember where they located and how to join, do you know anything
about them?

The message I posted was for a programmer's resource (actually, two). One
is the Superbase Leading Users Group, a loose network of users who are
tapping into the power of Superbase on all of the platforms where it exists
— yes, 64/128 and Atari, too! They're headquartered in Seattle, but
recently linked up two like-minded Atari Superbase users on one of the
smaller islands in Hawaii. Now THAT'S networking!

Another resource is the Bantam paperback "Superbase Programmer's Handbook".
As I understand, this is a re-vamping of the older "Superbase Supercharged"
book put out by Fred Dalgleish, to include Windows operations. According
to Fred, it was supposed to have been released in February, and he expected
it would be about 40% Windows ops, and about 60% programming tips. The
programming portion should be of great use to the Amiga users.

Just out of idle curiousity, will the Runtime be available through local
dealers or just direct from Oxxi?

the last I heard, Bantam deep-sixed the book at the last minute. No idea
why, or even if it will appear in some other form. The OCTS workbooks are
highly recommended though.

Since I am a Sysop on the SPCFORUM for SB4W and try to do my best ;-), I
download *every* message on the SPCFORUM in the three Superbase sections
(one of which is open only to beta testers). In those sections I hear a lot
about what is happening in the Superbase world.

Thanks, Neil. I don't know why I haven't used some of my 14.3 leisure
minutes per day to do the same (grin), but obviously I'm going to have to
get on the ball here…

what a dream job! Wow, 14.3 minutes a day leisure time. Where do I sign? I
don't even get paid for overtime. I keep talking to the boss about it, but
he just shakes his head and say "someday". I suppose that's what you get
for working for yourself 8).

somebody RSN? I still haven't seen hide nor hair of the package I was
expecting.

Neil, the package should arrive in the mail — I hope today, because I'm
sending the next Beta disk set today! Would be nice if you had that other
stuff at least a few days before looking at the Beta…
