I downloaded RDPrep and I need to change the tooltypes so that it will recognize my GVP A-500 hard drive. The SCSI device # of the drive is 0 but I don't know exactly what to type in the tooltypes box so that the program will address the device. Any help will be appreciated.

Gregory, I believe GVP uses 'gvpscsi.device' as the device name for their driver. Don't include the quote marks of course. Don

Greg, Typr "DEVICE=gvpscsi.device" with no quotes and DEVICE capitalized and gvpscsi.device in lowercase. …Steve ====>>> Motorola 68030 Inside <<<====

I've tried this on several 2000's with GVP G-force 030 accelerators, and it NEVER seems to work for me? I always get an error that it can't find 'gvpscsi.device' Any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong? Thanks, Erik Flom P.S. I've tried both HDToolBox & SCSIMounter with no luck.

I tried several times myself before I got it to work, and the information I gave the other gentlman is in error, I hope he reads this message, the correct toll type is (follow the capitalazation!) "SCSI_DEVICE_NAME=gvpscsi.device" woth no quotes. SCSIMounters tooltype is: "DEVICE=gvpscsi.device" and make sure one of the tooltypes says "CX_POPUP=Yes", if this is not there it will run when you click on the icon but will not give you any indication that is running unless you go Commodities Exchange. Hope this helps ya. BTW Got your demo real the other day! kewl!

Steve, thankd for the tips on HDToolBox & SCSIMounter. I could swear I tried 'DEVICE=gvpscsi.device' on SCSIMounter and it didn't work for me. There wasn't much time to experiment when I tried this, so I could well have made a typo. Glad you got the tape!

Thank you. You wouldn't believe how long I've been trying to find that out!

I made a mistake in my last message to you, the correct tooltype to use with HDToolbox and a GVP controller is "SCSI_DEVICE_NAME=gvpscsi.device" again watch the capitalazation. Sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused.
