Well… I haven't seen a single problem. I would look elsewhere before
I start sticking it all on the back of disk doubler… not to say
that I'm sure it isn't DOS 6, but Norton's Smartcan, etc. have
generated much of the problems originally attributed to DOS 6 in the
ACAD forum. I don't use Norton's stuff, so I can't elaborate on why
the problems exist. I do use DOS 6 and Diskdoubler… I didn't use
memmaker. I have no problems except where Phar Lap isn't compatable
with DOS 6 memory management.
While not all people have problems with DOS 6, myself included, there
are too many who do. In fact, in a computer industry daily trade
journal two days ago, the lead story was DOS 6's problems and the
industry wide reluctance by corporate MIS heads to convert to it.

I saw an article in InfoWorld… and their experiences sounded entirely foreign
to mine. The said that DiskDoubler is the problem… and an MS spokesman said
that their testing methods were the problem… I agree that caution should be
used, but I have received enough benefit from it already that I can reinstall
DOS 5 then reinstall DOS 6 (evidently eliminating 98% of the problems that
InfoWorld had) and still be ahead.
