We are running 3D-Studio 2.0 on an AST 486 with 28 meg RAM, using
Vibrant Graphic's DL-Xpress/386 ADI protected mode video driver.
Everything works fine unless we have the Novell network drivers
installed; then, after about then minutes, the Quarterdeck memory
manager reports an "Exception 13" error. The Novell drivers work
fine with other programs; we only have this problem with 3D-Studio.
We tried running Zero7A.EXE after loading IPXODI.COM, but this
doesn't seem to have helped.
From my experience, it is real easy to get a graphics memory/network
driver conflict in high ram, which is what QEMM is doing. Try
shelling out of 3DS and running manifest with and without the network
driver loaded. You >should< be able to see where your conflict is and
then exclude those areas of high memory.
