I have a program that generates a disk for shipping to a customer, containing a
selection of programs and other files. The disk will be used by the customer
under Workbench. When the .INFO files are copied to the disk, they retain their
old positions, as in the window they were copied from. Is there some way to
automatically get the same effect as doing a manual Cleanup followed by a
manual Snapshot All?
In case it isn't obvious, I'm not an Amiga expert, though I've been using and
programming the PC and Atari ST for years. I'd be grateful for any help.
Thanks,
Tim.
You will want to get hold of the "Amiga Rom Kernal Manual: Libraries"
manual (ISBN: 0-201-56774-1, Publisher: Addison-Wesley) to start with.
Their explanation of the "icon.library" and the involved data structures
begins on page 350. This includes an example program listing in C.
