Recently I've started fiddling with Povray. In the past I've been devoted to Autocad with Ashade/Renderman, but Povray's quality & ease of use could make a believer out of me. Does anybody know if Autocad (vers.10) can be used as the front end program to generate objects for Povray? Thanks, Eldon Rocca. There is 1 Reply. Read action !

YOu can DXFout your files and convert them to POV-Ray with DXF2POV but they will be raw triangle data ( I think) which is slower, takes alot of space but it would be useful for odd shapes (meshes etc..) . check out PV3D if you want a front endprogram for pov (its the most complete I've found but still kinda buggy) Sam There is 1 Reply.
