Just picked up Final Copy 1.3.2 and have been playing with this afternoon. All looks well, except I just peeked in the FCLibs drawer and see various libraries that look to be translation utilities for Wordperfect and other stuff. However, no mention of this capability in the manual. Enlightenment, please. Also, I presume the install utility knew what it was doing when it left them in a Final Copy subdirectory, not putting them in my system's LIBS: drawer.

Ron, First, those libraries allows you to load WordPerfect 4.1, PenPal and ProWrite 3.3 documents (aside from the usual Final Copy/Final Copy II and ASCII (pronounced "ASK-ee") files). You are right, the installer knew what it was doing. Please don't install these libraries in LIBS:, because that probably means that when you upgrade to a later version, you'll be calling to ask why the new version can't perform a feature that it is supposed to be able to do. The library routines finds your OLD version's libraries (in LIBS:) BEFORE finding the new version's libraries (in FCLibs). Leaving your Final Copy libraries in FCLibs ensures that when you upgrade, you will upgrade ALL of it.

Thanks, Ric. I urge Softwood to also make it possible for FC to EXPORT in Wordperfect format, at least. I often ship formatted text files over to MS-DOS systems, which is why I depend upon Transwrite. Do this and I can dump Transwrite off my system.
