Harriet, I have same configuration and did not worry about any internal
connections for redbook audio (regular sound like on an audio CD). The
connection to the sound card has to be made, but I chose to use an external
cable. It goes from L and R channel out to a "Y" adaptor cum RCA mini plug
converter (available at Radio Shack for a couple bucks) on the PAS16. Also,
you have to use software control for the PAS to make sure the external input
level is turned up. Without doing that, no sound will come out from red book
audio.
