Rich, I have DOS 6.0 and notice a new MSCDEX, apparently v.2.22. I don't have the energy yet to upgrade my MPC computer to the new DOS (it's working fine with DOS 5.0), but wonder if I can (should?) upgrade the v.2.21 that I am using now. Any advice? robin

MicroSoft says you can use the new MSCDEX with DOS5. It fixes the bug that did not allow MSCDEX to work properly if loaded high (or so they say).

Robin: I'm still looking into this, but – apart from the "loading high" feature mentioned by Jack – I haven't yet come across a compelling reason to use 2.22. I haven't seen any titles that require it. Best – Rich Bowers

Robin: I've been running it for about a month now. No problems with my Texel 3024 & FD850. Didn't have any reason to upgrade except to run the latest & greatest. sc
