Anonymous FTP – How?

Our InterChange Plus program reads TDDD objects directly and can convert
them to 3D Studio .3DS files and/or material libraries .MLI and/or .ASC
ASCII format files. If you can point me to where you got those TDDD
(Imagine) objects, I'd be glad to send them through our converters, and you
can tell me how they compare to the results of your conversion process. I
tend to think we'll preserve a bit more information such as sub-objects and
materials.
Can you tell me more exactly about the problems you saw in these objects?
(Such as the normalization problem, the need to re-separate objects, and
"new names.")
I picked up the objects off of Internet. If you have access, I can send
you the address. If not, leave me a message with your address and I can
send out some floppies.
I'm not sure what the native format of the files I translated to 3DS were.
Some of the problems could have been the conversion from that format to
TDDD. The files were then translated from TDDD to Rayshade (4.0?) format,
then translated to 3DS ascii format. (sound like fun?) No real surprise
given all that that some things got a little whacked out in the process. I
put a file up called FTPOBJ.ZIP which gives a full directory of the object
library out on Internet. (Internet address is in the file)
