I'm having a little trouble here. I've heard that the ANIM7 format could be PLAYED on an A3000 at higher fps that ANIM5. — I thought that ANIM7/8 were AGA formats only. Can anyone clarify this for me? If ANIM7 is possible on the A3000 (using DCTV HiRes 4bp) can someone tell me what programs will generate and play such anims? Thanks.

ANIM7 will speed up an animation, regardless of screen mode. I now routinely convert ALL my anims to ANIM7 before viewing on my A3000. The difference is smoothness of animation is phenomenal! Just Do It! Keep On Toastin' Erik Flom

Erik- Anim7 is not good on 16 bit Amigas. No speed difference for 2500s et al. It will run though. –Paul < Motorola Inside >

Thanks for the clarification. (I think THIS guy was using a 3000, so it should do something for him.) Erik

Paul, Funny, I have seen impressive speed gains using Anim7 on my GVP-accelerated A2000. So have my friend, Steve… My suggestion…try it, you have little to lose. //Jonathan, \\//via AutoPilot

Paul, I do use CPUClr, but my pal Steve does not, as far as I know (he likes to keep his machine "pure"). //Jonathan, \\//via AutoPilot
