Ric, Thanks for the help in upgrading to version 2 of Final Copy II. I received the new version 3 days after I called. Good service!!!! On the phone I mentioned the problem with GPFax and FCII version 1. Great news, version 2 FCII works fine with GPFax 2.01S version 2.5.92. Haven't tried it with GPFax 2.23 since I was having trouble with Silent Answer. I really didn't care which version I had as long as I could sent faxes. (I'm sure there are a few of us out there who don't enjoy 3 or 4 patches to upgrade.) Thanks again! Patrick White "Saving my bread for a toaster."

Ric, I posted a message a few days ago, evidently it got tossed in the shuffle :-(…anyway; my dealer has a copy of Final Copy II on his shelf, it has been there long enough for me to know that it is NOT release 2. I am doing some contract work for him, and part of the deal is for some of the labor I can pick and choose through his inventory for payment. My question to you is; what is Softwoods policy regarding new purchasers of Final Copy II that are outdated? Will it cost me to upgrade to release 2? if so how much and what is the procedure? …Steve ====>>> Motorola 68030 Inside <<<====

Steve, I thought I answered already, but… I'm not positive on the current policy, you can call (800) 247-8330 (our sales line) and find out what it is. Last I heard, though, was that it cost the user nothing to upgrade provided the user could mail us proof (and appropriate disks) that they acquired the copy on or after February 1, 1993. I need to stress that you MUST call our (800) line and find out what disks you need to send. In order for that department to provide you with better service, we need for you to avoid shipping the whole package (or even all the disks). Call the sales people and find out what they need…it will provide faster service for you and others. Ric Fischer – SoftWood Tech Support Phoenix, Arizona, USA – (602) 431-9151
