I have an Acer 486 PC that allows me to orient it either as a desktop or as a mini-tower, and I'm currently using in in the tower position. This means that if I get a CD-ROM drive, it would be in a vertical position. Will this work? If it will, is a caddy or non-caddy style drive better? Any advice would be appreciated. Brian/Denver

Brian…The Texel 3024's manual states that it can be run either vertically or horizontally. I use the external model vertically. This drive uses caddies. Hope this helps. -Larry

Brian: It seems most drives can operate vertically, these days, but you should check out your specific prospective purchase first, just in case. Best – Rich Bowers
