Kevin: Thanks for the input on the NDi board. It seems that Vibrant graphics support the Warp 10 with HiRes 3/DS which they clain speeds up rendering and improves the look of the materials editor. I am also going to check out the Metheu's Premier 928 w/ 2MB Ram as I still have a week to decide <g> Regards Gilbert

John: Yes, I recieved their fax today, the 928-VL4. Is it faster, have better driver support fro 3DS than the #9 for the price?. Those are the questions I am asking myself. Gilbert

Just read your message on the Premier 928. Saw one at Comdex this week and was given the opportunity to play with it. I measured Winmarks 3.11 at 5.9M for 1024×768 24 bit and 21M at 1024×768 8 bit. This was the 4 meg version. A comdex special was $599.00. which has everything beat $ in that quality. Comes with 3DS driver. They did not have 3DS loaded. It also supports the Magni VGA Producer Pro. For speed the Matrox products were the fastest though. All tests were being conducted on 486-66 w 256k cache, ISA. The Diamond stealth was same as the Premier 928 and the ATI Ultra Pro with 2 meg was at 16.9M. The Matrox was at 44M. Only did 8 bit color tests on these cards though. Just thought you'd be interested. Also of note, ATI just announced a 50% price cut on their mach32 line to bring them into competitive line with Diamond.
