#jumpy DP4 anim

I had posted this a few days ago in the Anim section but no one seems to
be noticing so,,
I made short anim in DP4 which morph's over 5 frames from one title to
another.
When the anim is played, 90% of the time there is a slight jump in the
anim when it's finished. This does not look good on tape.
I'm running it in Hi-res overscan and start it from the last frame which
is black. Also the blank frame isn't included in the range of the anim.
Adding additional frames of the last frame seem to help sometimes but
still not all.
Why isn't this consisent at least ??

What kind of "jump" are you getting? If you extend the animation to
include the blank frame (and perhaps add a few more blank frames) you
might be able to get rid of the jump.

I have a blank frame at the end (say Frame # 20). I begin the anim from it
but don't want it included as part of the anim.
I set the range to be from 1 to 19.
I go to frame # 20 and while the VTR goes to record I press the # 5 key to
play the anim just once, thus ending on frame #19. This would have the
last logo frame which I want to keep on screen for recording to tape and
then fade it out with the SuperGen Graphic dissolve key.
The jump is just a blip on the last frame. It never goes blank or anything
but it's as though it slightly moves. A noticeable flicker but just once.
It almost seems as about the time when the top menu bar would come back
into view if I didn't have it hidden via the F9 function key.

That last part might be the solution. Does the effect occur if you keep
the menu bar hidden using F9? Another thing to try might be adding an
additional frame 19 (maybe even a couple). That might steady the frame at
the end.

I've added dozens of frames. This thing happens at random. One time I'll
do it and it happens. I may do it again and it won't.
If I stop the anim in the middle with the space bar, it does the same
thing. It's like it winks at you. The color seemingly fades a bit and
bounces right back. I'm sure it coincides with the timing of the menu bar
reappearing.
Whether the menu bar is turned on or off has no effect. It is still
random.
You might try using one of the freely distributable anim players.

Try to by-pass everything and just use your computer. If the problem is still
there and you've done every trick you can think of you may be forced to shut
down reboot and try it all over again. Believe me this sucks, and even with
computer hacks watching many of the goofy problems I've had, no one could
explain what was going on. One person who attends MSU and is in computer
science has helped me a few times but I've shown him problems that were not
viruses and if things got real bad I've had to configure everything. Good luck.
