#mandelbrot generation

"Hello! I'm trying to write a program to generate my own mandelbrot sets and
draw them on the screen"
Our product CHAOS is no longer shipping. You might be able to track it down if
some stores still have copies, however.
This did not allow for much interaction. You had the ability to adjust values
with slider bars however.
The program was designed with the idea of illustrating some of the concepts of
CHAOS talked about in the Gleick book. I recall seeing Mandelbrot patterns, as
well as a pendulum, planetary/cloud/mountain fractal creation. There were a
few others.

"Not much interaction"? Surely you jest.
"Not much interaction? Surely you jest.
Whoops, I should explain this. The interaction that I'm referring to was in
response to Lynn's original request – "I'm trying to write a program to
generate my own mandelbrot sets and draw them on the screen."
Past calls to product support influenced my response – people are interested in
getting their own data (spreadsheet form, usually) into CHAOS. CHAOS does not
load external data – *That* is what I meant by interaction.
Now that you've called my attention to the poor choice of words, I take it
back. The program is very interactive, but does not use data from user-defined
spreadsheets.
Thanks for keeping things straight.
