I spent the $45.00 and here are my initial impressions. I have had the new versionfor one day now and have played around with it a lot. I think the upgrade fee wassteep but probably worth it. There are _many_ improvements and great ideas packedinto 4.0. In the manual it says "The more technically inclined may notice that there is no RUNon the instruction line" When I installed DirOpus it put RUN NIL <NIL DirectoryOpusin my User Startup. No big deal but it is inconsistent. It is great to be able to drag a file from the directory window and put it onto abutton to make it do something. I LOVE the shortcut keys for resizing the Directory Windows! Were these in the lastversion? The Directory Tree is neat too. It takes a while to scan a large directory like Work:but it sure comes in handy. I didn't see if this was an option to always start upthis way but it would be nice. Button Iconify mode is GREAT! It leaves a nice simple bank of buttons on your screenfor quick use. I wish you would use the normal 2.0 zoom gadget to iconify DOpus. Also it would benice if you could make it configurable for either iconify mode or button iconify mode. It is much easier now to add new buttons and menus. The configuration aspect of DOpushas been greatly improved. I no longer have to remember path names, or deal withconfusing color buttons. Overall, I'm very glad I upgraded. I use DOpus more than any other program and haveeven signed up for the auto-upgrade club (I hope INOVAtronics gets their act togetheron this one) because of this latest, greatest upgrade.

Donovan, Glad you like the new Opus! There was no possibility to resize the directory windows in the previous version of Opus, hence no shortcut keys either. The Directory tree was there before. You could make an ARexx script and have it send the correct commands to Opus to scan your hard drive as a dir tree, and then use that script in the StartUp Script. I will suggest the normal iconify gadget to iconify. Glad you like it and have Joined The Club! We will continue to improve our service in every way that we can. Martin – via Whap!
