TFTT Chris, FYI I'm a "avid" Austrian consumer of the MOD-format (not only) music files in this forum. I listen to it using various PD-modul players in my heavy tuned A2000B on the AMIGA (M68030 50 MHz) side via Paula (eg. versatile PowerPlayer by Stephan Fuhrmann) as well as on the bridgeboarded (Cx486SRX2 40MHz) PC-side via SB16ASP SCSI-2 (plz use pretty good Spanish Visual Player by Hctor Martinez, Luis Crespo, Luis Ubeda, David Lpez and Angel Trigo). At the moment my favourite downloaded song is A-T-S-W.mod ("all that she wants" original by Ace of Base-Amigaversion by ATW) with a great vocal part. Personally I don't produce mods with a soundtracker clone like Protracker or MaxTracker because of the 4 channel limitation. I use "Face the Music" instead and other more sophisticated soundprogramming-tools (yes, MIDI too), for my own and privat ears only (sorry, no uploads – no copyright infringements). I prefer to sample my sounds (I don't rip/steal them) with Aegis Audiomaster software combined with Aegis high speed digital audio sampler "Sound Master". Conversion (RAW, VOC, WAV and os on) takes place with Sound Machine written by Syd L. Bolten. I started to "compose" computer music as a hobby (never professional) in the early eighties with my first micro (Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K-the very first in Austria, truly), later on with the Sinclair Quantum Leap (AFIK the first one outside UK without dongle) and since 1987 with a Commodore (RIP) Amiga A2000B.
