The tape drive has a standard SCSI interface. It uses the 6150 150meg or
250meg type tapes. I bought the unit used at an IBM show about two years
ago. The transfer speed depends on the type of HD controller used. I
never really tested the speed. I had the drive mounted in an external
case with a CD Rom drive so I don't know if it will fit in the A4000's
drive bay. I do know the A4000 drive bay was not large enough for my CD
Rom drive. I used it with my A4000 and an ICD Advantage HD controller.
