Marion, I hope you can help me. I'm new to this forum and was wondering if you knew of any emulators I could use with my mac powerbook to run Amiga software in emulation. Anything you could suggest would be greatly appreciated! 🙂 Thanks, Andrew Crist

Andrew, I hope that you do not mind me replying to your question. Although there are a couple of Macintosh emulators for the Amiga, there are NO Amiga emulators for the Mac (or any other platform for that matter). It is impossible for these other platforms to emulate the Amiga custom chips through software, and it would be illegal to duplicate them in hardware. The Amiga can emulate a Mac (and rather well too, I might add) but not the other way around. *SIGH* if only the higher-ups at Commodore knew what they had. -David Cattell

It is not impossible to emulate an Amiga in software. It's just very, very complex. –Ben …via AutoPilot

Yes, it would be extremely complex and very slow. -= Vance =- Image Master Flying high on Black Belt Systems' Imagemaster R/t!

Why don't you sell your mac powerbook and buy an amiga with a mac emulation board, it will run all your software and faster. with the amiga you can emulate the mac & ibm systems, having all three platforms on one computer the amiga. Now go run along now and make sure you tell your mac friends in the other forums.:)

Charles, a Powerbook is portable, which is more than I can say for any Amiga. We should have had a portable LONG ago. The Four Seasons of Southern California: Fire, Flood, Earthquake, and Riot.
