I have a problem with the magazine desktop video world, which I've seen
discussed here in the past. It's a great magazine, but when I signed up, I
believe I signed up for a year, which was at that time, parenthetically, six
issues. In the mean time, they went to 12 issues per year. Instead of
continueing my subscription for the year, they ended it at six issues. Since
I'm biased, what do you all think? I think I should have gotten a full year
especially since they didn't even raise the price. (forgive the typos, I'm
stuck in cserve line edit mode until I transfer systems and I keep getting
interrupted by phrases probably meant for a chat session – I don't know if
you'll see them or not. I hope not. Any objective insight would be
appreciated.

I bought the same subscription. When I paid for it, I knew it was for six
issues. They decided to go monthly some time after they started. I got
what I paid for: six issues.
I think you got what you paid for, frankly: six issues.

Actually, I bought a year's worth. Since they didn't raise the price, it was
only fair that they give me the full year. It took a while for them to locate
me on their computer, but when they did, they were able to locate the card I
sent in, which was as I remembered, a one year subscription, parenthetically
six months. As soon as they located my file and looked up my card, without any
further prompting from me [A (oops, just noticed: that parenthetically up above
should read six issues sorry) they extended my subscription to a year, as now
two of us (the two that count) they and I agree. Those of you who did the same
might want to do the same.
